On the afternoon of 5th December, the School of Business Administration of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law held the 12th Young Teachers' Teaching Competition and the 3rd Responsible Management Education Teaching Competition. Seven young teachers from the school actively participated and carefully prepared, presenting wonderful and vivid teaching scenes that demonstrated their teaching skills and dedication to education, fully reflecting their sense of responsibility.

Dean Wu Haitao, Party Secretary Yu Xiaopeng, Vice Deans Hu Chuan and Xiong Wei of the SBA attended the event. Ten academic experts and senior professors including Professor Xiong Shengxu, Professor Li Shaohe and others served as professional judges, evaluating from multiple dimensions such as teaching content, organization and characteristics. An observation group consisting of 18 teachers from six departments and 18 student representatives also participated in the observation and scoring.


In his speech, Dean Wu Haitao emphasized that teachers are crucial to talent cultivation and young teachers are the backbone of the school’s development. Facing the impact of big data and artificial intelligence on classroom teaching, young teachers should actively explore new talent training models in the digital age, shifting from traditional knowledge transmission to ability building.

The competition scene was intense and wonderful. The seven participating teachers took the stage in drawing order. Within 20 minutes each, they demonstrated solid professional foundation, exquisite teaching skills and unique teaching styles. They adopted diverse teaching methods such as heuristic teaching, case analysis and on-site interaction, and integrated value shaping with knowledge transmission and ability cultivation.



After strict evaluation, Zhou Lili won the first prize; Xu Yingwei and Zhang Runhao won the second prize; Liang Zhihui, Mu Wen, Tang Yipeng and Xing Zhijie won the third prize. Leaders and judges awarded prizes to them respectively.



Subsequently, Professor Xiong Shengxu, Professor Fei Xianzheng and Vice Dean Hu Chuan commented on the competition. They affirmed the highlights such as sufficient lesson preparation, student-centered teaching and the application of AI technology. Vice Dean Hu Chuan emphasized that the school will take this competition as an opportunity to improve the training mechanism for young teachers and promote the innovation of teaching models.

The successful holding of the competition will help strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and improve the overall teaching quality of the SBA. The school will continue to optimize the talent training mechanism and provide solid support for cultivating more professional talents.
