Guo Xia, female, holds the titles of Senior Accountant, Certified Public Accountant and Tax Agent. She is an alumna of the 2018 Master of Business Administration program in Business Administration at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and currently serves as Deputy General Manager of China Tax Zhongxing Consulting Group, Deputy Director of Henan China Tax Zhongxing Tax Agent Firm Co., Ltd., Director of Henan Branch of Zhongshenhua Certified Public Accountants, Special General Partnership, and a member of the Expert Database for Reviewing Special Bond Issuance Materials of Henan Province.
My bond with ZUEL began unexpectedly. After graduating from University of Jinan with a major in Accounting in 2013, I started working at a tax firm. Guided by my supervisor Chen Junling—who is also an MBA alumnus of the university—I grew from an industry novice to a team leader, and obtained certifications as Certified Public Accountant and Tax Agent along the way. To fill gaps in professional and management knowledge, I followed Chen’s advice to apply for the university’s MBA program. The two-year study exceeded my expectations: it gave me systematic business management knowledge, critical thinking skills and problem-solving tools, opening new horizons for my work.
The MBA courses at ZUEL—covering corporate management, marketing and more—built a solid knowledge framework for me. Teachers’ in-depth case analyses, which felt like unraveling a cocoon, broadened my perspective and taught me to see the essence of issues. Team assignments let me realize the value of collaboration, and interactions with outstanding classmates—who shared career experiences and offered support when I was confused—enriched my life vision.
Even after graduation, the university keeps connecting me through activities like Zhongnan Sharing Sessions and alumni events, urging me to keep learning. I thank Teacher Xiong Min for arranging our studies, Thesis Supervisor Tang Guoping for his consistent guidance, Teachers Wen Hao, Li Keke and Li Yanyuan for their professional teachings, and Teacher Wang Yanming for building the alumni exchange platform.
