On 1st November 2025, a delegation led by Professor Ruan Huangyue, Vice President of Thuongmai University, and another delegation led by Professor Lucy Newton, Vice Dean of Henley Business School, University of Reading, successively visited the School of Business Administration (SBA) of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL). They held discussions on potential cooperation in disciplines development, talent cultivation, and teacher-student exchanges. Yu Xiaopeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the SBA, hosted the reception and made forward-looking plans from a strategic perspective. Professor Xiong Wei, Vice Dean of the SBA, Professor Dong Ciwei, Vice Dean of the SBA, Associate Professor Zhou Lingxu from the Department of Tourism Management, Associate Professor Liu Wentong from the Department of Business Administration, and Ms. Zhu Yanzhen from the Office of International Affairs and Accreditation also participated in the event.
In the morning, the delegation from Thuongmai University visited the SBA. Party Secretary Yu Xiaopeng led SBA representatives to extend a warm welcome to the delegation and accompanied them to visit the overall environment of the SBA. Vice Dean Xiong Wei further supplemented the prospects of cooperation between the two parties.

On the same day, the delegation from Henley Business School, University of Reading visited the SBA. Secretary Yu Xiaopeng detailed ZUEL’s international cooperation model and the SBA’s achievements in talent cultivation, teaching and research, and social practice, and expounded the SBA’s school-running characteristics that integrate international perspective with localized practice. He stated that the University of Reading has rich experience in business education and suggested that the two sides deepen cooperation from multiple angles and directions.

Vice Dean Xiong Wei shared a framework proposal. Associate Professor Liu Wentong, with SBA’s international cooperation experience, exchanged views on cooperation mechanisms with Vice Dean Lucy Newton and put forward constructive paths. Lucy Newton introduced Henley Business School’s mechanisms, expressed willingness to build stable cooperation with SBA and hoped to refine the plan.
